A couple were able to exit a plane crash in Alcorn Conty without serious injury, WCBI reports.

A call came in Friday about 4:30 p.m. that a plane had crashed in a bean field off County Road 518 behind a home on Hinkle Road, Pisgah Volunteer Fire Chief Gary Yancey told WCBI.

The Cessna 150 was traveling at 4,000 feet when the engine failed, according to officials.

The couple had just purchased the plane in Georgia and were on their way to Memphis when the engine failure took place, WCBI reported.
