ROLLING FORK, Miss. (AP) — A Rolling Fork man was killed Thursday in a head-on crash on Mississippi Highway 16 near Rolling Fork.

David Ewing, 43, was pronounced dead at the scene about 10:45 a.m., Sharkey County Coroner Angelia Eason said.

The Vicksburg Post reports Ewing was driving a 2011 GMC Sierra westbound about a mile east of U.S. Highway 61 when he crossed into the eastbound lane and struck a truck loaded with cotton seed.

Highway Patrol spokesman Cpl. Odis Easterling said the truck was driven by Kenneth Ingram, 46. He didn’t have information on Ingram’s hometown.

No charges have been filed and the crash is still under investigation, Easterling said.
