TUPELO – The Boys & Girls Club of North Mississippi hosted a pre-party for the PBR Professional Bull Riders on Friday night at Buffalo Wild Wings.

Restaurant guests had the opportunity to ride a mechanical bull for a donation, with all proceeds going to the Boys & Girls Club.

“We have partnered with Buffalo Wild Wings a lot since they have been in Tupelo,” said Boys & Girls Club of North Mississippi Marketing Coordinator Evie Boyd. “Every penny counts for us, and Buffalo Wild Wings has been very generous to us.”

The party featured some “celebrity” guest mechanical bull riders, including Mayor Jason Shelton.

“A little embarrassment and a few bumps and bruises are totally worth it for a good cause,” he said. “I am proud to support the Boys & Girls Club. What they do is truly making a difference in our community.”

The PBR event is at 8 p.m. today at the BancorpSouth Arena, and tickets are still available at the box office and Ticketmaster.com.
