Saltillo boil water order rescinded
SALTILLO – A boil water order issued last week after workers accidentally cut a water main while installing a valve in south Saltillo has been lifted.
“The water’s OK. Samples were taken and came back good. People don’t have to boil their water anymore,” Mayor W.K. Webb said Wednesday.
The affected area included residences in the Pinecrest subdivision, around Saltillo Elementary School, and along Old Saltillo Road.
Lines serving those areas lost pressure when the main was cut and officials feared contaminants could have seeped into the system.
