TUPELO – A Saltillo man is jailed on meth charges.
On Thursday, Randy R. Trulove, 48, of 515 County Road 1451 Saltillo was charged with possession of crystal meth. His bond was set at $100,000.
Police believe Trulove was manufacturing meth in his home.
According to Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson, it’s been months since police made a meth arrest. Johnson said home meth labs have become almost extinct since the legislature put a law into effect mandating those who purchase pseudophedrine have a prescription.
“Not too long ago this was a routine arrest and not it’s more uncommon. That shows the law is working,” Johnson said.
