SALTILLO – As a Southern Baptist, Terrell Boren isn’t really into numerology, but even he can’t help but be a little amused at how the numbers are working today.
Today, Oct. 10, 2010, or 10/10/10, Boren celebrates his birthday. He’s not 10, or 110, but when you consider that he was born in Baldwyn, 48 years ago, at 10:10 a.m., the pattern begins to emerge.
Today, Boren, the father of two and huge Mississippi State University fan, lives in Saltillo with his wife, Connie. He manages a fleet of Snap-on Tools trucks he started in 1988, with – you guessed it – 10 drivers.
Boren probably won’t be around in 2110, when the next 10/10/10 hits, unless, as he said, “I live to be as old as Moses.” So, today he’s enjoying his unique birthday. Maybe he’ll watch the movie “10,” he joked, with that famous scene of actress Bo Derek running on the beach.
“I’d have to say that my favorite 10 is the Ten Commandments,” said Boren. “And, my sister, Sonya, wanted everybody to know she’s 10 years younger than me.”
