Saturday, July 4
– ALL AMERICA BEACH PARTY IN THE PARK: 4:30 to 10 p.m., Ballard Park, Tupelo. Event will include food vendors, inflatable water slide, skate demonstration and a sandpit for kids. Musicians include Stone Lizard, John Milstead and Margarita Beach. The Tupelo Symphony Orchestra will perform at 8:30 p.m., and fireworks will be at 9:30 p.m. Bring lawn chairs. Free admission. – OXFORD DOINGS: “A Greener L-O-U Red, White and Blue” daylong celebration in Oxford, with 5K and family fun run, 8 a.m., parade on the Square, 10 am., picnic in the Grove, 4 p.m., ceremony and concert, 6 p.m., fireworks over Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, nightfall.
