School supt: 7 students injured in coast bus crash

GULFPORT — Harrison County Superintendent Henry Arledge says seven students were injured after a school bus and a vehicle collided on Wednesday.

Arledge says the injuries were mainly bumps and bruises and the students were transported to a local hospital.

The bus was traveling along Dedeaux Road, which is a main thoroughfare, when the accident occurred about 3:50 p.m. Arledge says there were 45 middle school students on the bus.

Arledge says police and his district’s transportation department are investigating.
