TISHOMINGO – Tishomingo County law enforcement is searching for a man reported missing late Friday.
Johnny Crosby, 67, of 31 C.R. 87, Tishomingo, has not been seen since about 11:30 a.m. Friday, his daughter told authorities.
Brandi Stanton said she had been staying with her father because he had been sick and depressed and she was worried about him, said
Sheriff Glenn Whitlock.
She left the house to run some errands, and when she returned, Crosby was not at home. She reported the disappearance later that afternoon.
Officials began an extensive search that included dogs and rescue squad members, the sheriff said, and they continued searching through Monday with no results.
The Tishomingo County Search and Rescue Dive Team also searched a nearby pond, he said.
So far only lead has been a report of a sighting in Alabama.
Crosby is described as a white male with blue eyes, brown hair and a short beard, weighing about 160 pounds.
“We don’t know if he wandered off, left with someone, or left under bad circumstances,” Whitlock said.
Anyone with information about Crosby’s whereabouts is asked to call the Tishomingo County Sheriff’s Department at (662) 423-6185 or Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi at (800) 773-8477.
