Sen. Collins elected to national post

JACKSON – State Sen. Nancy Adams-Collins, R-Tupelo, is scheduled to be elected today to the executive board of the Women’s Legislative Network of the National Conference of state Legislatures.
She will serve as the Southern Republican Party representative.
The election will take place at the NCSL Legislative Summit in Chicago where Collins is attending.
Collins is chair of the Mississippi Senate’s Accountability, Efficiency and Trans- parency Committee. On the national committee, according to a news release from the state Senate, Collins “will be active in framing policy that elevates the roles of women lawmakers across the county.”
