Sentencing set for man charged in gun case

djournal_Court-NewsABERDEEN (AP) — A sentencing hearing has been scheduled for Nov. 4 for a man charged in north Mississippi with being a convicted felon in possession of a gun.

Jason D. Jones was indicted on Oct. 25, 2012. He’s charged with having a .40 caliber Glock pistol in June 2012, according to court records.

Prosecutors say he had the gun in Panola County.

He pleaded guilty in April in U.S. District Court in Aberdeen. He faces up to 10 years in prison.
