Sexual battery suspect arrested in Oxford

OXFORD – On Saturday, April 26, Oxford Police investigators charged Jesus Martinez, 32, of Oxford, with one count of sexual battery.

Martinez was arrested after officers responded to the Ole Miss Motel for a victim who had been sexually assaulted. After officers spoke with witnesses and processed the scene they were able to identify Martinez as the suspect, and he was arrested at his home in Oxford.

Bond was set at $25,000.

Also Saturday, Oxford Police investigators charged ChaKita Alford, 24, of Oxford, with one count of felony malicious mischief. She was arrested after she was identified by the owner of a car that was damaged.

Bond was set at $5,000.
