Sexual harassment lawsuit against Alcorn sheriff on hold

CORINTH – A lawsuit filed last month in U.S. District Court against Alcorn County Sheriff Charles Rinehart alleging sexual harassment is on hold for now.

U.S. District Judge Debra Brown issued an order Wednesday to stay proceedings in the case for three months, until Aug. 13, or until the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission or the U.S. Department of Justice determines if the lawsuit should go forward, according to court records.
