Shannon woman charged after running over husband

SHANNON – A Shannon woman was arrested on aggravated assault charges Tuesday after police put out word last week they were searching for her.

Karissa Hill, 25, of Shannon, was charged with aggravated assault and domestic violence after police allege she hit her husband Demetrius Hill with her vehicle on Clark Avenue.

Shannon Police Chief Desiree Kirshner said the U.S. Marshal’s Service was informed of her pending charges and apprehended her in Amory on Tuesday.

Demetrius Hill spend on night in the North Mississippi Medical Center with non life-threatening injuries and was released.

Karissa Hill is in the Lee County Adult Jail awaiting a bond.
