Shelton fills position on quality of life group

Tupelo StockTUPELO – Tupelo Mayor Jason Shelton made his first resident appointment to a city committee, commission or authority this week.

Shelton nominated Paul Gammons, president of the Presley Heights Neighborhood Association and an employee at BancorpSouth, to the city’s quality of life committee.

“He is a business-minded person who is passionate about our city and enhancing quality-of-life opportunities which will encourage home ownership” Shelton said.

Gammons replaces Shelton, who vacated his seat on the committee after becoming mayor.
