Sherman Fire department gets change in leadership

By NEMS Daily Journal

SHERMAN – Fire Chief Terry Wages has resigned to take a position as a training officer in Brandon.
Wages had been the fire chief for Sherman since 2007. Officials in turn appointed Brad McMurry as the town’s new fire chief.
At a recent meeting officials also approved a fire district map with a couple of changes. This is one step in the process to hopefully lower the town’s fire rating from an 8 to a 7 to help residents on insurance costs and to improve coverage.
