Shooting causes stir in downtown Tupelo Thursday

TUPELO – Police were searching Thursday for a man reportedly involved in a Thursday afternoon shooting on North Spring Street.
Corey Fair, 38, of Tupelo was named as a person of interest in the shooting that happened at about 12:30 p.m. on the 600 block of North Spring.
After being shot, the victim ran to North Green Street, one street over from North Spring Street, where police and medical personnel found him. His injuries were not life-threatening.
Police said Fair is believed to have left the scene in a maroon Buick.
