Shooting evidence sent to crime lab

TUPELO – Evidence collected at the scene of an Eggville community shooting last week was sent to the North Mississippi Crime Lab in Batesville today.
Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson said the lab will analyze the physical evidence taken from the crime scene and compare it with the autopsy report.
“We’ll see if it gives us any clues as to what happened and who is responsible,” Johnson said. “We don’t have anyone in custody and we’re still questioning a lot of people.”
Last Wednesday, Dale Parker, 37, of the Eggville community, was shot fatally and multiple times outside his home.
Johnson is asking anyone who has information about the shooting to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-773-8477.
