Shots fired in Renasant parking lot

SHANNON – Police were investigating Wednesday afternoon’s shooting at the Renasant Bank.
Police Chief Desiree Kershner said two men in a white car pulled in behind a man who was waiting to use the drive-thru window at the bank and started shooting. According to Kershner, no one was injured in the shooting.
“The victims said they saw two men get out of the car behind them with guns in hand, so they drove off,” said Kershner. “They said the men fired several shots at them and shot out the back glass of their vehicle. The vicitms also said the men in the car chased them and continued shooting.”
She said broken glass and several gun casings were found at the scene. No motive for the shooting has been established.
Police were looking for a white older model Ford Crown Victoria in connection with the shooting.
