Six people injured after Beale Street shootings

MEMPHIS – Memphis police say six people have been hospitalized following a shooting behind a club on Beale Street.

Police officers responding to gunshots behind Club Crave around 3 a.m. Sunday found five victims with gunshot wounds, according to The Commercial Appeal.

Police also discovered a woman firing shots. When she refused to stop, officers shot the suspect, who has not been identified. She was transported to a local hospital in critical condition.

Two of the shooting victims were also taken to hospitals in critical condition. The other three were transported in non-critical condition. None of the victims have been identified.

Two officers involved in the shooting have been relieved of duty with pay pending the outcome of the investigation.
