ABERDEEN – Sheila Small of Okolona was sentenced this week to five years probation for her part in a regional drug ring.
Small, 45, pleaded guilty last October to conspiring to travel to Texas to distribute proceeds of an unlawful cocaine enterprise in north Mississippi.
U.S. District Judge Sharion Aycock sentenced her and also ordered her to pay a $100 special assessment.
Small faced up to five years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
She is one of the last defendants to be sentenced in a case involving 17 others, most who have pleaded guilty and been sentenced to prison terms.
Most of the indictments came in December 2011.
