SMITHVILLE – The Smithville Board of Aldermen voted on Tuesday night to adopt a brand for Smithville.
The brand, which will be used to promote and market the Monroe County town, focuses on what makes Smithville special – its people.
It reflects the common theme from meetings of residents with the Mississippi State University Stennis Institute, Mississippi Main Street and the firm of Arnett/Muldrow.
A community prep rally will be held Aug. 16 at Rod Brasfield Park to introduce the brand to residents and show support to the high school football team.
