A Smithville woman has been arrested and charged with kidnapping two juveniles and engaging in sexual relationships with them both.

Deputies with the Itawamba County Sheriff’s Department arrested Kristen Hall, 31, of 2011 Duncan Lake Road, Smithville, on April 14 and charged her with two counts of statutory rape and kidnapping.

In addition to her local charges, Hall is being charged in Denton, Texas, with two counts of sexual battery against a minor.

According to Itawamba County Sheriff Chris Dickinson, Hall’s arrest followed a month-long investigation that stemmed from allegations that she had engaged in sexual relationships with two male juveniles from Itawamba County.

On March 20, Hall allegedly fled the state with one of the victims. She was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Texas on March 24 and transported back to Itawamba County to face charges.

During her initial court appearance, Hall was issued a bond in the amount of $75,000. She is currently out of jail and awaiting the next meeting of the Itawamba County Grand Jury.

Hall’s bond in Texas was set at $30,000.

Because Hall is accused of crossing state lines in connection with her alleged crimes, federal charges may be pending as well, although none have been filed at this time.
