Solar panel manufacturing to locate in Senatobia

SENATOBIA — Twin Creeks Technologies will locate a solar panel manufacturing facility in Senatobia in north Mississippi.

Gov. Haley Barbour made the announced Friday during a ceremony in Senatobia.

Barbour says Twin Creeks, of San Jose, Calif., will create 512 jobs in two phases over the next five years. He says the company, which specializes in renewable solar technology, will invest more than $175 million in the plant.

Twin Creeks was founded in 2008.

The Senatobia facility will produce photovoltaic solar panels. The new facility will be 250,000 square feet, when complete.

Barbour says the state and the city of Senatobia will provide $4 million for infrastructure improvements at the site. The Legislature also approved a $50 million assistance package for the plant.
