ABERDEEN – Dustin B. Stafford of Corinth is free on $5,000 bond after his federal indictment on cocaine possession with intent to distribute.
Stafford, 27, was indicted on the one count Feb. 22 but did not face an initial court hearing until Thursday before Magistrate Judge David A. Sanders.
He’ll hear formal charges against him during his arraignment set for April 24 in Aberdeen.
Federal authorities accuse Stafford of intentionally possessing a “mixture and substance” containing a detectable amount of cocaine with intent to distribute during July 2011.
If convicted, he faces up to 20 years in prison, a $1 million fine or both.
