Starkville man pleads guilty to gun charge

GREENVILLE – Cedric Lamar Tate of Starkville pleaded guilty Friday to selling a gun to a convicted felon.
Tate, 38, was indicted Jan. 27 on two counts with a possible sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
He agreed to plead guilty to Count Two, which charged him with knowingly selling a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol to someone he knew was a convicted felon.
Tate was scheduled to go on trial June 6 before U.S. District Judge W. Allen Pepper.
