SALTILLO – The investigation into the July shooting of an Eggville man is still being actively pursued by the Lee County Sheriff’s Office but no new evidence has arisen.
All of the evidence from the shooting of Dale Parker, 35, of Eggville, has been processed by the crime lab in Batesville.
Lee County Sheriff Jim Johnson said his office is not releasing the number of gunshot wounds sustained by Parker or caliber of weapon used, but will use the knowledge to help corroborate any tips or reports they receive about the shooting.
Johnson said he has received calls as recently as last week and they have followed every lead.
A suspect has not been named in the case.
Parker was shot multiple times in his driveway on County Road 1543 in the Eggville community, near Saltillo, on July 25 around 5 p.m.
The Daily Journal attempted to reach family members, but known phone numbers were disconnected.
Anyone with information about the shooting is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers of Northeast Mississippi at (800) 773-8477.
