Suspects arraigned in Monroe County

AMORY – Two men were arraigned before Justice Court Judge Robert Fowlkes on Wednesday.

Greely Wayne Blair of Caledonia was charged with possession of a controlled substance and possession of child pornography. His bond was set at $100,000.

Blair told Judge Fowlkes that he had no prior felony convictions.

Charles Jones, Jr. of Aberdeen, who was arrested Feb. 28, was arraigned on charges of grand larceny. Bond was set at $10,000. He also faces charges in Amory, Nettleton, Aberdeen and Clay County.

Blair was arrested Feb. 24 at his home on Red Hill Road in Caledonia, where authorities claim they found weapons, drugs and child pornography.

Jonathan P. Downey, who was also arrested there, was charged with a misdemeanor and bonded out, according to Monroe County Sheriff’s Department Spokesman Tim Oswalt.
