Suspicious package reported at Tupelo business not an explosive device

A suspicious package reported Thursday morning at Precision Machine and Metal Fabrication at 502 Crossover Road was not an explosive device.
The call came in at about 7:40 a.m.
About half a dozen marked police cars, including the mobile command post, and two Lee County Sheriffs cars came to the scene.
Tupelo’s bomb squad also responded and checked the package out.
