The TAP Alliance website has gone live at www.tapintoindustry.com.
The three-county economic development collaboration of Tishomingo, Alcorn and Prentiss counties has taken another major step to showcase available industrial sites and attract site consultants for in-person visits.
“We’re using Google Analytics to help us track which pages are looked at,” said Gary Chandler, president of The Alliance economic development organization in Corinth. “Their data tells us how many times the site is accessed, who is looking at the data and in some instances what sector is looking.”
Each county’s lead economic development officer – Chandler, Gary Matthews of Tishomingo County and Leon Hayes of Prentiss County – each will receive the same website data each month and evaluate what the feedback means.
“It’s very comprehensive information and we feel it will be very helpful,” Chandler said.
Along with prepping various industrial sites in the three counties, creating the website was a key recommendation made by Boyette Strategic Advisors in the TAP Alliance five-year economic development study.
Website developer Kathy Jacobs of Starkville has broad experience in designing sites for economic development organizations, including The Alliance and the Prentiss County Development Association.
In addition to showcasing a new logo for the organization, the website links to the Mississippi Development Authority’s LOIS – LocationOne Information System – site selection program and the TVA site database.
