JACKSON – Public Service Commission Chairman Brandon Presley said Wednesday that the PSC has fined a California telemarketer $35,000 for violating Mississippi’s no-call law.
Presley said C1F of Irvine violated the law by failing to register and buy the state’s no-call list and for contacting consumers who had registered on the list. Company representatives failed to respond to the commission’s complaint, according to the PSC.
Presley said the company will be prohibited from making any calls to Mississippians as a telephone solicitor and from buying the no-call list until the civil penalties are paid in full.
