CORINTH — A Tennessee man has been sentenced to prison for armed robbery and two escapes from the Alcorn County jail.

Prosecutors tells the Daily Corinthian that Brian Lamar Knight of Jackson, Tenn., pleaded guilty Monday in circuit court to one count of armed robbery and two counts of jail escape.

Knight was sentenced to 25 years with five suspended for the armed robbery of the Exxon gas station and convenience store on U.S. Highway 72. He was sentenced to two years in prison on each of the counts of jail escape.

Knight escaped twice from the jail — once in January and again earlier this month.
