CORINTH – A Michie, Tenn., man has been released on $3,000 bond after his recent arrest in Alcorn County on narcotics charges.

Travis Criswell, 23, of 247 Smith Circle, Michie, was charged Friday with felony transfer of a controlled substance after officers with the narcotics unit patrolled a familiar drug trafficking locale in a parking lot on Highway 72 west, said narcotics Investigator Darrell Hopkins.

They observed suspicious activity by occupants in a parked vehicle, and after approaching the vehicle noted occupants attempting to shoot up suspected narcotics, Hopkins said.

Bond was set at $3,000, and the case remains under investigation.
