Texas man charged with drug possession in Starkville

STARKVILLE – A Texas man was arrested in Starkville over the weekend and charged with possessing about $100,000 worth of cocaine.

Charles A. Skelly, 25, of Houston, Texas, was charged with one count of possession of a kilogram of cocaine with intent to distribute after he was stopped early Saturday morning.

He is in the Oktibbeha Couty Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.

The arrest is the result of a week-long investigation between the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics, the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration and the U.S. Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, with assistance from the Oktibbeha County Sheriff’s Office.
