The Alliance applies for grant for industrial site

CORINTH – With the approval of Alcorn County supervisors, The Alliance will apply for a $75,000 grant to improve drainage at a key industrial site.
The economic development organization will apply to the Mississippi Development Authority’s trust fund on behalf of the county, said Alliance President Gary Chandler.
County engineer Cook Coggin has evaluated the site, and the estimates to address the problems include areas at both the southern and northern ends of the Highway 45 property, he said.
If the grant is awarded, the Tombigbee River Valley Water Management District will be asked to complete the work at the sites.
