PONTOTOC – Police are still looking for information in two separate burglaries at the Tobacco Shop on Oxford street that resulted in the theft of 333 cartons of cigarettes valued at $10,000.
Pontotoc Police Chief Larry Poole said that the shop was broken into Jan. 12 and Jan. 20.
“The first time the store was burglarized, the perpetrators threw a concrete block into the window of the business and entered,” Poole said.
Police report 240 cartons of cigarettes were taken.
Police said the second time suspects threw a trash can into the window and entered the business. Several displays were damaged and 93 cartons of cigarettes were stolen.
