Three charged in West Point stabbing death

WEST POINT — Bond has been set at $2 million each for three women charged with murder in the stabbing death of a man in West Point over the weekend.

West Point Police Chief Tim Brinkley says 27-year-old Marcus Payne of Hamilton, was stabbed Saturday night outside a convenience store. He later died at a Tupelo hospital.

Brinkley says 27-year-old Latwanna Roby and 24-year-old Natisha Roby, both of Macon; and 22-year-old Shunbrica Roby of Columbus have each been charged with murder. It is not known if the three are related.

They were being held in the Clay County jail Wednesday.

Brinkley says the investigation is continuing.
