Three die in separate accidents in region

Three people died in two separate accidents Saturday in Northeast Mississippi.
Lee County Coroner Carolyn Green said Montana Roberts, 11, died at the scene of a three-car accident at Highway 145 and Pratts Road Saturday afternoon in Baldwyn.
Her grandmother, Deborah Hill, 59, of Baldwyn, the driver of the car in which Montana was riding, died Saturday night after being airlifted to North Mississippi Medical Center-Tupelo.
Both were wearing seatbelts when the accident occurred. The accident is under investigation by the Baldwyn Police Department.
In a separate accident, Tim Elrod, 55, hometown unavailable, was killed on Prentiss County Road 5031 near the county landfill Saturday morning. The accident is under investigation by the Prentiss County Sheriff’s Department.
