SHANNON – Three adults were taken to the North Mississippi Medical Center on Monday night after being hit by a car.
Shannon Police Chief Desiree Kirshner said the three were pedestrians who were hit from behind by a car while on Shackleford Avenue.
One woman was airlifted to the hospital, and the other two transported by ambulance in very serious condition.
Kirshner said they are investigating, but at the moment it appears an elderly woman driving the car didn’t see the pedestrians when she collided with them some time after 8 p.m. Monday.
Kirshner said they would release more information as it is available.
