Three teens get 15 years each in in fatal shooting

Three Warren County teenagers will each serve 15 years in prison for a 2009 killing.
Circuit Judge Isadore Patrick imposed the sentence Friday. The Vicksburg Post reports that 17-year-old Gemini Porter, 18-year-old Kersey Young and 18-year-old Roosevelt Dewayne Harris stood silently as their sentences were announced.
The teens had pleaded guilty to manslaughter on June 3.
They were charged in the March 15, 2009, death of 25-year-old Antonio Turner, who was shot in the back after a botched robbery.
Patrick said the teens would be sent to the Walnut Grove Correctional Authority, which houses inmates younger than 21.
After their release from jail, they’ll be on probation for five years.
