Tippah County crash kills 12-year-old Ripley girl

RIPLEY – A Ripley girl died in a two-vehicle wreck about 8 p.m. Friday on County Road 615, sources said Saturday afternoon.
The girl was identified as Lisa K. Leopard, 12, of 105 Peachwood Drive in Ripley. She was a seventh-grader at Ripley Middle School. Her parents were identified as Simon Leopard, Jr., and Karen Lynn Leopard of Ripley, according to obituary information.
Visitation will be from 5 to 9 p.m. tonight at Ripley Funeral Home. Services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at the funeral home and burial will be in Antioch Cemetery.
At least one other person was injured in the wreck and two other people refused treatment, sources said. Efforts to learn more information Saturday afternoon were unsuccessful.
Ripley Middle School Principal James Storey said Saturday afternoon that Leopard was “well-liked and a loving person. Our prayers go out to her family.”
