Tishomingo County makes voting precinct changes

IUKA – The Tishomingo County Board of Supervisors has approved voting precinct changes recommended by the county election commission.

The changes, as follows, will take effect for the June primary elections:

• District 1: The Hubbard Salem precinct will move from the District 1 fire department at 23 County Road 402, to the Tri-State Commerce Park, 751 County Road 989, Building 1000.

• District 2: The West Burnsville precinct at the Old Burnsville Volunteer Fire Department, 90 Front St., will be merged with the Burnsville precinct in the Burnsville Chamber of Commerce building, 322 Highway 72. The precinct will be named Burnsville precinct.

• District 3: The West Iuka precinct in the Tishomingo County Courthouse basement, 1008 Battleground Drive, will be merged with the East Iuka precinct at the National Guard Armory, 901 E. Quitman St. Voting will take place at the National Guard Armory and will be named the East Iuka precinct.

• District 4: The Tishomingo precinct at the Tishomingo BancorpSouth Bank building, 1284 Main St., and the West Tishomingo precinct, Tishomingo City Hall, 1281 Main St., will be merged and move to the Tishomingo Community Center, 1267 Main St. The new precinct will be named Tishomingo precinct.
