Christmas display
• COTTON PLANT – Christmas in Cotton Plant, 490 Hwy. 15 on Tippah/ Union county line, will have its annual Christmas light display from 6 until 9 p.m. to Sunday, Dec. 26. It’s closed Wednesdays and Sundays, except for Christmas week, when it will be open all week. It will be closed Christmas Eve. More than 450 inflatables and 200,000 are used lights in a computerized music light show. Get a 4×6 picture with Santa for $5. Stop by the Elf Cafe to purchase hot cocoa and cookies. Singe Feaste
• TUPELO – Tupelo High School Madrigal Singers will present their 35th annual Madrigal Singe Feaste at 7 p.m. today and Wednesday at All Saints’ Episcopal Church Parish Hall. Toy exhibit

• Copies of old photographs are being sought by a group that is putting together a pictorial history of Lee County. The public is asked to take old photographs for scanning on Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Lee County Library. Pictures will be given back to their owners as soon as the images are scanned. Members of the group are Boyd Yarbrough, Mem Leake, Bill Lyle, David Baker, Dick Hill and Julian Riley.
• The Tupelo-Lee County United Negro College Fund banquet will be Thursday at the Summit Convention Center in Tupelo.
The guest speaker will be Dr. Walter M. Kimbrough, the president of Philander Smith College in Little Rock.
Proceeds from the banquet, which begins at 7:30 p.m., will be used to provide scholarships to needy students and financial support to UNCF member institutions.
