Diversity Vuteq, a Tier 1 supplier for Toyota’s Blue Springs plant, has another job fair next week.
The company, which has a manufacturing facility in New Albany as well as a presence on site at Toyota Motor Manufacturing Mississippi in Blue Springs, wants to fill 500 positions between the two locations.
The job fair, to be held at the WIN Job Center in Belden, will be Thursday and Friday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon.
Shannon Stephens, the human resources manager for Diversity Vuteq’s Blue Springs operation, said applicants will be given a basic skills assessment that should take 30 to 45 minutes to complete.
“We’re hiring from now through the start of production in October,” she said.
Stephens said the company is looking to fill available production jobs, including material handlers, forklift operators, assemblers, machine operators and injection mold technicians.
The New Albany plant will make injected molded parts and glass assembly for TMMMS, while the Blue Springs operation will provide “all the internal logistics,” Stephens said.
She added that those who can’t attend the job fair also can apply anytime at the WIN Job Center.
Next week’s job fair is the second since early March for Diversity Vuteq, which employs about 50 in Blue Springs and 37 in New Albany.
