TUPELO – Tupelo’s School Board approved bids for two construction projects during a special called meeting on Tuesday afternoon.
Continental Flooring of Arizona will replace the carpet in Carver Elementary School’s classrooms with tile. The $167,400 project will match work already completed in the school’s hallways.
Covington Flooring had the winning bid to replace the rubber floor in the Tupelo Middle School gym for $94,282. Both projects are expected to be completed by the first day of school, as are already approved projects to expand Tupelo High School’s cafeteria, replace windows at Carver and do flooring work and painting at Milam Elementary.
