Trash and Treasures back this weekend

IUKA – Vendors along a 234-mile route along Mississippi Highway 25 from north of Iuka and going south across the Tombigbee River to Demopolis, Ala., set up today and continue sales on Saturday.
The yard sale event, called Trash and Treasures Along the Tenn-Tom, has grown in popularity since it began in 2007, and now includes thousands of people trying to get rid of unwanted items.
There is generally no charge, but some businesses may offer setup space or tables for a fee.
Two popular locations in Iuka, the downtown Jay Bird Park and the lot in front of Northpoint Bingo, are no longer available, but people may set up at the former site of the shoe factory off Old Highway 72 behind Tishomingo Living Center.
Call the Tishomingo County Tourism Council at (662) 423-9933 or (800) 386-4373.
