ABERDEEN, Miss. (AP) — A federal judge has set a Sept. 9 trial for a man charged with being a convicted felon in possession of a gun.
Brandon Venson Taylor was indicted in January and charged with possessing a .22 caliber rifle and 47 rounds of ammunition. Court records say he had the gun in August 2012 in Batesville.
Taylor pleaded not guilty to the charged in February. His trial is scheduled to take place in U.S. District Court in Aberdeen.
His attorney did not immediately respond to a message early Monday.
