Truck thefts mystify dealer in Union County

NEW ALBANY – Two trucks have been stolen this week from the Union County Auto Center, and the owner isn’t sure how they were taken.
Late Sunday night or early Monday, a white 2007 Dodge Ram one-ton diesel truck was stolen. The following night, thieves got a dark blue 2000 Chevrolet Super Cab Z71.
Owner Michael House said he and his staff don’t know how the trucks were taken. “We had the keys; they were secure,” he said. “And we did not see any broken glass.”
He speculated that the thieves might have gotten the trucks out of gear and either towed them away or put them on a hauler.
House is offering a $500 reward for confidential information leading to the arrest of those responsible and the return of the trucks.
