Tupelo adds new businesses

TUPELO – Several new businesses will open in downtown Tupelo in the coming weeks, including three retailers.
Two of the stores are in Fairpark at Main, the development that houses Park Heights and Fairpark Grill.
Luxe Boutique is a contemporary women’s apparel store that is going in the Fairpark building on the Main Street side, facing City Hall. Owner Jade Gaskin, the former owner of the Cottage Boutique in Amory, said she plans to open the store later this month.
Voe’s Boutique is going in the BancorpSouth Arena-side of the building, next to Beauty Motif. Owner Virginia Metts said she hopes to open the women’s apparel store in October.
The Fairpark at Main building also has a new professional tenant. Bruce Patel, owner of ABRMP Hotel Management, opened an office on the backside of the building, next to Fairpark Grill. The company owns several hotels, including Comfort Suites and the Howard Johnson in Tupelo.
Down the street, Caron Gallery is expected to open next week at 122 West Main St., between Tupelo Hardware and Lucky Joe’s.
Owners Kim Caron and Ashley Prince said the gallery will have artwork from Northeast Mississippi artists. Pieces include photographs, sculptures, handmade jewelry, paintings, mixed media and handmade textiles.
A little farther east, Yellow Lovebirds is slated to open in the current Omi Boutique location. Yellow Lovebirds owner Carrie Hancock, a Tupelo native and a current resident of Charleston, S.C., said she’s moving back to Mississippi this month and hopes to open the store, which now operates online at YellowLovebirds.com in September.
Omi Boutique owner Karen Trumpore was unavailable Monday for details.
Down a few more blocks on South Green Street, Ginger Renick has opened Head to Soul Therapeutic Massage. Renick’s business previously was in Saltillo, but she moved it to Tupelo last month.
