Tupelo American Legion pitcher improving after being hit by line drive

Adam Gore of GoreSports.net is reporting that Tupelo 49ers player Tyler Awtrey has shown signs of improvement after being hospitalized overnight in Tupelo.

Awtrey was struck in the head by a line drive while pitching in the bottom of the sixth inning of Saturday night’s American Legion Baseball State Tournament game against the Pontotoc Red Sox.
